Working at a well run fast food restaurant sucks arse (Chick-fil-A for example). You are always “on stage” and you come home exhausted. I will just hand good fast food employees money from time to time because I know it makes their day.

It’s usually a means to a end

In high school I worked at Burger King (mid 90s). Made $4.25 an hour. Did register, drive thru, kitchen, food delivery, and for 3 nights that summer, overnight porter. Pay went to $4.75 right before the 96 election.
Anyways, I got to do a few different things and it was fun. It’s not a job that should pay $10/hr and especially $15/hr.

The bigger chains have lots of room for advancement. I think a lot of people posting on here would be surprised what most fast food GM’s make per year. Granted it’s gotta have some really pain in the arse aspects but it prolly gets easier as you move up the ranks.
