I rarely sleep with a sheet and it's even more rare that i have a blanket over the sheet. I just set the thermostat at 70 and sleep like a baby. My gf thinks I'm weird for sleeping in the open. She said the other night she woke up and I had taken all of the blankets and wrapped them around my feet.

If I have sheets/blankets over me I feel like the boogie man pretty much has me dead to rights. I wouldn't be able to fight him off wrapped up in a sheet.

Just wait until she starts pulling all the sheets and blankets over her.

You will be back to normal.

My wife and I sleep like squirrels, two blankets, box fan, ceiling fan, central ac on 68. Neither of us can sleep if it isn't cold.

And the people wonder why their utility bills are so high.

You sleep in an icebox, then wrap yourself in a blanket.

You could probably lose a sheet or 2 and set that thermostat higher.

I actually turned the thermostat up because someone felt the house should be at 72 when no one was home. In this heat, I doubt it ever turned off yesterday. I am rocking at 74 this morning.

BTW you know what grinds my gears about air conditioning...idiots who think lowering the thermostat actually increases the coldness of the air coming out the unit. And while we are at it, phrases like speed up the air conditioner. Only units like this are 2 speed systems, window units, hotel rooms, and some offices, but 90% of most home systems have one speed on or off based on temperature.

A light-med fleece blank. I cant sleep with my feet covered though as that seems to be the way I control my body heat. So I could have a bigger one on as long as I keep my feet uncovered.

I can’t imagine sleeping in the open. I have the opposite boogie man feelings; if my feet are exposed, monsters have free reign.

Fitted sheet only on bed. Light quilt and thermo on 73. Losing that top sheet has made all the difference. My feet don't feel trapped.

I'm convinced there's no better sleep than in hotel with the black out drapes and cold AC.

I love good hotels that are cold with blackout drapes. I just don’t like feather pillows. I prefer cotton. They flatten out faster but aren’t expensive to replace

But the blanket makes you invisible to them! That’s how it works :)
