re: Do those overly friendly church people creep anyone else out?

I am glad for you. Unfortunately, some wounds are just too deep to completely heal. The church will never undo that damage. Neither will God. I did not get my last kid out on his own until I was 60. No one wants someone at my age, so I am sort of screwed on that level. I owe the church nothing. They do owe me, but I know I will never collect to my satisfaction. So I try to redefine my life path .... and the church will never again be a part of that life path as the pain incurred from them was and is simply too much.
