The internet has changed that somewhat. It's more rural vs Suburban vs urban today.

And these people are worlds apart with no clue about the others except what they read on the net

I’m in New England.

It’s definitely a different way of living for sure. Not saying it’s better or worse, just different. Things move at a much quicker pace.

Professional goals are given greater value than in the south, less concern about housing and cars for the most part.

n general, people on the coasts are more materialistic and are SJW’s. People in the heartland can appreciate the simple things in life and not get offended by everything.

Yes, GeneralLee speaking, this is correct

Check out the SEC Rant for an answer or just cross a few state lines and you'll quickly see people doing weird shite with food.

New York City...region

Everyone has in a pair of earbuds. Thus lighthearted and friendly small talk, humor and joshin around is minimal.

That's my over generalized contribution.

i think the south is pretty materialistic compared to the midwest or west coast. i think southerners give themselves a little too much credit about being simple and not being materialistic

Absolutely.

You know how I can tell a southern tourist from anyone else? I see people from around the world as part of my job. I can point out a southerner from a mile away compared to everyone else.

Westerners obsess an infinitesimal amount less about the South than Southerners do about California and the like. They just don't give a shite about you. It's California. The South is a utter shithole.

I can spot a midwesterner anywhere because he or she will be wearing carpenter jeans, a big ten or MAC hoodie, and black sneakers.
