Thread got anchored because one of the mods was fugly as a child and received less love than his more attractive siblings. This continued into adulthood where he still receives less love due to his unfortunate appearance.

Do parents with ugly babies know they have ugly babies?
I can only use my personal experience. I have twin 5 year old boys, and any time they're at school or in any group, I always think they're the cutest 2 kids in that group.
The only difference is, I'm smart to realize that's not really so, I'm just biased and blinded by the fact that they're my kids...or maybe they are just that darn cute!!!
But yea, I don't think the parent would honestly think or notice that their kid is ugly, there's just a huge blinder up when it comes to your kids. Maybe the ones that don't care and treat their kids like shite, maybe they think they're ugly.

If they do know the baby/child is ugly, how does one handle it?
I'd have to put it down. Then divorce the mother because if I had an ugly baby it wouldn't be coming from my end. Can't have that shite in my gene pool.

Like anything else, you get out what you put into it. Children don't come into the world inherent with motivation to enrich your life. It has to be nurtured.
