Do love bugs exist where you live?

Black mating bugs that smash all over your car, try to fly into your mouth or ears, etc.

And what determines their range? Soil type? If you are driving south suddenly without any indication you are then in love bug country

They are in North La but much less prolific than the I 10 corridor

It's been awhile since we've had a bad season but I remember driving down the road when they were like rain drops. I wonder if the mosquito spray is killing them?

In South Alabama, they are terrible. Haven’t seen them yet this year.

Drove from Atlanta to Troy, AL this weekend. Started hitting them around Columbus, GA, I think.

They are here in south Georgia, just north of Tallahassee but they are not as bad this year.
