Point taken. When I was single I used to go once a month on an organized trail ride and it is really nice to have lockers and be able to keep up without having to get the strap. I also like the fact that the drivetrain is much stronger than a sport or Sahara so I will be able to drive home. I also have Plans to drive to Arkansas and to ride when I visit family in the Carolinas. Sicily Island in LA is no joke.

Mine came off the lot with a 4" lift kit, aftermarket rims and big tires. The stealership had done it but the kit was sorry. It was o.k. for a mall crawler but I needed something For Arizona, Ark., etc. After changing out a few parts it has been exceptional at those locations and a few other places I haven't listed.

What's big? You can probably squeeze 31" on some of them without any serious modification.
I don't see them much any more, but the stock ones in the 90s had go cart tires on them.

Most don't. I bought mine used with large tires, but I haven't raised it yet. I need a bumper and winch first.

I’m interested in one too. Any pros and cons you’d like to share?
I’ve yet to find anything negative, other than to get the truck proportional you have to take the stock 31’s off and do minimum 33’s like the Rubi’s. Only off-roading I do is showing land/farm property so for me the 35’s with A/T’s were great for driving clients around but still having a vehicle we could use off road as well.
Also running 35’s my mechanic suggested doing full synthetic/rotation every 6k miles to ensure longevity, where before I’d usually go 8k. 2 extra oil changes every 48k miles isn’t that big of a deal to me for all the other pros.

2018 Rubicon Factory no lift.
After 2" Lift and 34" Tires.

That's interesting. Did he give a reason why?

Said 35’s, even 10 plus wear faster without rotation earlier and often. Said 35’s are about as big as you want to go without regear, so swap oil more since you’re in for rotation anyways

Swap gear oil or engine oil?
Posted on 7/11/20 at 7:25 am to fightin tigers
He said engine. Need to ask about gear.

I'd be more worried about gear oil than engine oil. I've grenaded a diff before though.
I've also never rotated my tires either. I need new ones though. These are about 12 years old and have about 50k miles on them. Dryrotting.

Word. Yeah I miss my Jeep but having a bed seems pretty practical so I figured it was the best of both worlds.
