I’ve travelled all over (still do) and lived out of the US. As I’ve gotten a little older, and met a lot of people from all over the country, I’ve really come to appreciate the South. People are cool everywhere, but there’s a polite and friendly culture in the South that I haven’t found anywhere else. When I’m out of the South, I genuinely miss it after a few weeks.

If you’re talking about the normal/good southern states such as Tennessee, Georgia, The Carolinas, and even Alabama then yes. But I have a feeling you’re limping Louisiana in there..
Louisiana can’t even be mentioned in the same breath as the states listed above. It’s down there with Mississippi and Arkansas in my book. Too much filth, crime and corruption in the culture to be considered with the other states. The state of the economy is absolutely horrendous.

Not too fond of it May-August. However, few places/regions in the States are better.
