Am I screwed?
Last night the power went out for 5 minutes, and when we got up in the morning, the damn thing was blinking.
From what I have read it is most likely the control panel. It's a whirlpool quiet partner 2. Should I replace the panel at ~$180 or get a new one?

Sell it in craigslist, then buy a new one.

Did you try unplugging it for a few seconds?

Most certainly the plan if I need a new one.

I'm about to unplug it for a bit and see if that works

open & close the door, if haven't already. Works for mine when the power goes off.

I unplugged the thing. I let it sit for 1 hour unplugged. When I plugged it back in, it started blinking again.

Now what can I try?

Ignore it.

Fast food doesn't require clean dishes.

Is there a chance that the power may have gone out mid-cycle? Mine blinks until I restart it if I open/close it to add another dish after it has already started the cycle. Maybe you could try running it

That's just it. It will not run. None of the buttons are responding

My previous post taps out my knowledge of dishwashers. Keep your fingers crossed that Napoleon - the OT resident appliance repair professional - catches this thread and can help.

Good luck

Sounds like what I had happened to a TV earlier this week.

Might try flipping the breaker for a little while to reset it. Resetting didn't work for the TV, but it was highly recommended online.

Google the name and model # and what it is doing and see what you find.
