Direct tv came out I told them I wanted the dish mounted on my roof he just laughed and said he wasn't getting on the roof.. Dish came out found a signal the. The man said he could put it where ever I wanted showed him where and he said as long as I was ok with him trimming a few limbs he could do it. He got a ladder out and saws all and cut limbs for an hour in the middle of summer even hauled them off.. Dish wins my vote just for that.

I have had better experience with contacting an independent installer than contacting the satellite company and having them send someone out.

Look on bulletin boards at gas stations or grocery stores or in the classifieds to find them.

For the record dish no longer has the 3 year price lock

Directv is coming out with a promotion tomorrow that will be hard to beat. Price locked for two years with 4 TVs all fees included for one price and a $100 gift card.

If you have att wireless you get an extra $10 off per month for life plus unlimited data

Directv picture quality is much better and they now have some 4K content. They had the masters in 4K and just announced they are showing weekly mlb games in 4K

Just having the Sunday ticket is worth it in my opinion.

I work in that business and deal with both and not that it matters but Directv is 10x better to work with. Can't reveal details but I was in a closed door meeting with Directv's product development team a few weeks back and the stuff they have coming out this year is sick.

I prefer NFL Redzone channel on Dish. I understand DTV has some sort of Redzone as well, but the one with Scott Hanson is hard to beat.
