No. That’s how it was always done in the past. But the last ECM they sent fried the e prom on the cards. They couldn’t even be set back to default.

P4 was never hacked,
Everyone switched dishnet and BEV hacking after they made Hu obsolete. And then moved to FTA receivers.
Best part of doing Hu cards was the existence of Blockbuster video stores: unlimited supply of non blacklisted card numbers and wide-open cards. Go into store, distract sales clerk, remove card, swap with one you had prepared, go out to truck, read blockbuster card, return and swap back,
