I have to tell you an 18 inch pad is a lot of dirt. Did you just come up with that or is that something someone gave you? I have no problem doing the job. Just don't fall over when I give you the price.

When I we t through this a few years ago I had the soil conservation dept come do a core sample and a soil testing company and both said that dirt with a high enough clay content to have an adequately sealed pond contained too much clay to build on. Now that being said, its done all the time. Had dirt hauled in from a couple miles away. Went 60 x 60 , 46 in high cost 8k.

I just got a quote yesterday and it was around 5600 for a quarter to a third.
Had another quote taken this evening closer to half an acre but wont have the cost until tomorrow.
Both will be a minimum 12ft deep.
Eta: this is in my open pasture easy access. No clearing necessary
