No, they did not. But it was their loss. Still had a beautiful wedding day.

Did your parents (divorced or together) attend your wedding?

Nope, but it was at a court house. But when we got the marriage blessed, none of them came either (but that was a small ceremony, too)

But my mom went to my siblings’ - dad was dead.

Mine did, as did my in laws.

Most cases I can think of with no parents are typically by the kid’s choice such as a deadbeat dad not being invited.

My dad missed my wedding during COVID because he got a cold and refused to get a COVID test. He said he didn’t want to get entered into the “database”.

This was during the New Orleans negative test requirements and the venue was verifying negative tests/vaccinations, so he opted to skip it. We haven’t spoken since.

Man, some judgemental Aholes in here . No , my parents didnt attend my wedding b/c it was a short civil ceremony.. we decided to save the $50k or whatever a wedding would have cost and put a down payment on a house.. the entire wedding industrial complex is obscene and expensive, so decided to forego it entirely .

I believe the OP was assuming that there was in fact a ceremony with real people/loved ones in attendance in his original post.

If those two things are in play then yes the parents suck.

They went to my brother's wedding. He was drunk off his arse. I eloped. My parents paid me to do it so they didn't have to endure another wedding. I now get explosive diarrhea every time I get a wedding invitation.
