Yes. I am sure the flight instructor scenario played out just like the walmart backpack incident. I am sure he was thinking, "I bet they ram these freaking planes into some buildings."

just got off the phone with the Chicago FBI, but they said it's not their jurisdiction. Told me to call the Springfield office, but no one is there till Monday...

Well I guess they figure no one would want to blow something up over the weekend. Not our jurisdiction? I guess the movies have that part right.

not everybody, probably 30-40%. I knew I would get that type of reaction though. Just the price I gotta pay...

I couldn't disagree more. If you were in my shoes you would have been really concerned as well.

We have threads on here that are like a hundred pages about pornstars or late night snacks. Why not one about a suspicious event?

Hey General,
I read your post on another website...
You might want to defend yourself there, also.

I try not to argue with a fool; witnesses may not know who is who.

LINK

this thread is full over over-zealous, paranoid fellows like GL here.

here's my favorite back-bending assumption post:

quote:

These neo-jihadis were either:

(1) Psyching themselves for some future operation on a low-profile/high-density soft target (like a crowded big-box store on the hieght of weekend discount frenzy...

OR....

(2) They were playing mind games with you and anyone else who witnessed their little parade... kinda psyching everyone else with their arab-looks and surplus backpacks... likely stuffed with old porn... and one karan-book..

Get tag numbers....
Take cell phone pics...
Enlist other witnesses...

If you call it in.. you've done all that you can do...

JMHO...

same reason they attack sidewalk cafes and other random public places.

they want everyone to live in a state of fear wherever they go, so they target random places.

eh that's mainly contained in the middle east

american attacks are generally either military or heavy in symbolism. dunno if there is symbolism in a wal mart

you don't go plan a simple attack like that in the open either

i'd say the mission of the fear monger media and right wing hawks has been accomplished moreso than the terrorist mission

Like I said in an earlier post, terrorists care about 1) body count and 2) economic impact. Although Champaign/Urbana is not a huge town, the WalMart there is pretty packed like most walmarts across the country. And needless to say, an attack on a WalMart where multiple people died would probably cost billions for the economy in lost revenue.
