Better call Homeland Security on this guy.
Those things look dangerous.

right. If this really happened, I don't see him walking in and spying on them, then taking his time to report it if it was that serious.

but it can not hurt to call, who knows, maybe if he calls the cops and they go and find some sort of explosive device he is a hero who saved over 1,000 lives

My point was (even knowing that you choose not to see any other) is that you never know what you are going to do until you are in that situation. While your girlfriend /wife was getting raped and you had a gun to your head, you want to think that you would fight back, but you never know what is gonna happen.
There is a reason for the saying "curiosity killed the cat," and "everybody wants to be the hero." You can't question why he did what he did.
I've been in situations where I put myself in danger because I thought that's what I should do and look back and think how stupid I was.
You are questioning him why he went in.
Where is the question about two people walking into a walmart and blowing up everything.

Yes, thus also proving my point on why would they even risk going in the store with backpacks and getting caught if they were just practicing.

well maybe they got in there and realized there was barely anyone in there and said frick this well come back when its packed

OK, again you failed to prove your point and did nothing to disprove mine.
Now you are making excuses and what if's.

I was in Atlanta during the Centennial Park bombing, close enough to where someone near me had metal fragments in their arm. If I had seen something suspicious, reporting it would have been a plus.
I guess the whole argument here is that there are some places that probably aren't going to get a "dry run". If you've walked into a Wal-Mart before, you already know how lax security is without having to go through an elaborate test which will only arouse suspicion and jeopardize your future plans. Same with with Atlanta, that guy didn't need a dry run, he had an idea in his head and carried it out. Why raise a flag in advance if you can predict what the situation will be.

doubtful neck. They would have had a gauge of how many people were there by the cars in the parking lot. If it was that empty, why bother even risking jeopardizing your mission?

yeah, a smart person would see it this way, but if you are crazy enough to blow up a building you are obviously frickin nuts in the head and maybe would not see it that way

Sidenote to my story, I got stopped and had my bag searched in the CNN building by security during the Olympics because I was wearing black combat boots and was carrying a plastic grocery bag. They went straight for me as soon as I walked in.
If I was planning something, I wouldn't have given those guys a good look at me and a reason to get suspicious if they saw me back around there later.

thanks freaux! that's what I've been trying to say all this time, and the title of this thread is "Did i see a possible dry run for a terrorist attack?" My answer was NO. Ovalbitch can argue as many non related analogies he can possibly think of, but it's not gonna help this case.
