Why doesn't Austin or Houston have as bad of weather as DFW?

Something about this area. Maybe the hills? Storms break apart.

So hot and dry now, rain is only possible after dark

The cool fronts don't make it much further south than dfw in the late spring and summer. ....and early fall......and it's the collision of the cooler air with the warm that triggers chaos.

North Oak Cliff.....it happened 10 years ago......can't touch a house there for under 400k now. But south oak Cliff is still gangsta.

Being gentrified at a quick pace. Lots of new townhouses and apts being built.

Mexico......??....... Really, I don't know.....probably GP, Arlington, mesquite, Garland. There were a bunch of Mexicans in East Dallas until 5 or 6 years ago but they are being pushed out too. I may be pushed out of East Dallas if my property taxes keep going up.

I hate to derail a thread but I am always amazed at the 1960s houses in pleasant grove. Brick house after brick house. Those ppl had bad timing because they left in the 70s.

Now that's a fricked up ghetto. Maybe the worst area of dfw.

I felt like Colleyville is the most underrated of the suburbs when I went there a couple years ago
