If you still are not getting service the fix is simply changing your DNS to 8.8.8.8 (Google DNS).
The dumbass Customer Service reps don't even know this.
I had to wireshark my own fricking service to figure this out.
Also sign up for openDNS so you'll never be impacted by this again.

Well in fairness they most likely aren't going to tell you to use someone else's DNS. It's stupid, but true.

Very true. They could of saved themselves a major headache last night by issuing a simple temp workaround and acknowledging the issue.
I mean this is literally a 1 minute fix.
Instead they had North Texas blowing up their call centers.

Yeah, I had to change mine to Google's DNS. Out all night and still this morning when I woke up.

Was talking with a bunch of our managers this morning and we're mind boggled how Spectrum is handling this.
This would be equivocal to us telling Verizon / ATT / TMO that all service is down until we can fix our end but in reality if you just switched TRS Addresses you can have your ENTIRE NETWORK operational...
fricking insane!

Figured something was up. My wireless was down this morning (non spectrum) but I got it up pretty quickly

Their customer service is atrocious...the automated line hung up on me at least five times last night.

Interesting. I never had an outage. Guessing the 'DFW' in your OP needs to be replaced with "My Neighborhood" but writing DFW makes it appear so much more insidious.

Internet was fine for us last night, but my wife wanted to stream Game 7 in bed and couldn't do it through the Spectrum app. We eventually downloaded Fox Sports Go to the Roku and ran it that way.
Then Internet went down overnight. It was out this morning till I switched the DNS as others have suggested.
Amazing how bad Spectrum is handling this. Request a credit, folks.

It's not just my neighborhood. North Dallas was pretty much in the dark last night if you didnt manually set primary and alternate DNS's.
Check the news if you don't believe me.

Yep, we're still out in Grapevine. Luckily I have a Verizon hotspot for emergencies.

MGT,
Change your adapter settings.
1) Right click on network icon on your bottom right screen.
2) Select Open Network and Sharing Center
3) Select from the left menu Change Adapter Settings.
4) Select your connection (usually says Ethernet or whatever you named it.)
5) Under the Network tab select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)
6) Select Properties
7) You should see blank IP addresses due to them being selected automatically. Under the DNS portion. Select either manual input or "Use the following DNS Addresses."
9) Input 8.8.8.8
10) Hit OK
Service should be restored.

Spectrum has been absolutely awful lately. I am considering it.

I haven't had a problem with uverse in a long time. It went out for a night back a couple years ago but nothing since.

Like many IT related things, you don't realize how important DNS is until it's broken.

I am still mad at myself for not realizing off the bat after seeing the DNS PROBE FAILED messaging.
Edit: How did anyone not catch me pulling a TPB Rickyism
