The day I met my drill instructors at USMC Recruit Training Base, Parris Island, SC was a pretty god awful day.

Yeah that was seven years ago and my life once I sobered up has been incredible. It just blows that I never had a say so in keeping the babies.

I had a moment in college where I thought I had impregnated a not so attractive super bitchy girl.
I became quite the expert on the statistics of pregnancy occurring on certain days past ovulation. Years later, when my wife and I were trying to have our first, she was reading about it and I was answering questions. She asked how I knew so much and I said I had a good Biology teacher in high school, but the truth is I had some sleepless nights in the summer of '97.

The day the girl I dated for 4 years broke up with me for an older rich guy. I was so devastated, that when my wife got home, I couldn't hide my emotions and ended up telling her that the girl I had promised not to see anymore after 8 months, I had been seeing for the last 4 years. I can now understand how some weaker people can take their lives over shite like this. I also can understand how they can take other lives as well. Was not a good day. Thank goodness it was 17 years ago.

The day I arrived at Navy boot camp. I stayed awake for about 48 hours straight.

As much as I want to respond, I can't. Only me and other individuals know.

Thought our dog had gotten out one day in '09 and the family was out looking for him.
We quit looking when we found out my brother had been arrested.
Hour or two later for another call that my grandmother had a stroke and was in the hospital.
Went home that night and I found our dog drowned in the pool.
Grandmother went into hospice and passed about a week later.

Wow Dan. That's hardcore.
I posed the question because I had a rough day yesterday.
Just moved out of state for my first adult job after graduating. In my way home from Costco? and some kid rear ended me. I was at a dead stop he was doing about 40 when he hit me.
So now I find myself in a new city with no family or friends to speak of and now no vehicle to drive to the job I moved here for. It seems menial compared to something like that though.
