forgot where I read it, but I remember either an FBI agent or one of the Atlanta cops that were involved in catching him saying he had never seen incompetence like what he saw in Baton Rouge.
This supports everything my dad had said about the situation. I posted a few pages back that he was a suspect for one of the DTL murders and was at the scene when her body was discovered.
They did not question him at site before he left, or get his contact information before he left the scene. His finger prints were on the front door feet away from her body, when he went down to the station for questioning they never took his finger prints.
He even felt through the questioning that he received that it was poor investigative skills.

Cops were swabbing the cheeks every white male in a white pickup truck.
It took forever for them to admit it wasn’t a white male. I remember WBRZ running profile stories on how serial killers are almost always white men. If you had a white truck in Tigerland guaranteed you were getting pulled over for a “seat belt check”.

I got swabbed. The policeman was apologetic and told me “you wouldn’t believe some of the people that I am having to swab”.
I still can't get over this.
Wild abuse of power. That's not even legal.

Well, they did promise everyone would get their DNA back if it turned out they weren’t the killer, and they would only use it to try to identify the killer.
