ETA: added the quote from him. His strongest stance in that article was underage drinking. That’s insane. It’s something basically every single college student does. That is not the problem here. There is a much bigger issue of criminals running around unchecked, and getting everyone riled up to take their pitchforks to Reggie’s and Fred’s is absurd.

ATC will be parked in front for the rest of the year because the politicians will demand it. But time will pass and things will revert to the mean and underage kids will be getting hammered at Reggie’s again in a year or two. Same as it’s always been.

Some college bars (not in BR) require a student ID to get in. That would eliminate a large portion of the trash going there looking for trouble. And isn’t it right that if a death occurs during the commission of a felony, don’t they get charged with that too? I know it could be tough to connect that.

Holy shite that Eugene Collins fella from the NAACP told Nakamoto on Wbrz that if Reggies had enforced 21+ drinking age in their bar, this wouldn't have happened.

Have the only crimes committed against LSU students recently been because Reggie’s served alcohol to minors?
ETA: to clarify I’m glad he’s trying to take action against the bars. I’m calling out his silence/inaction regarding ALL crime against LSU students or on campus. Reggie’s isn’t the reason criminals are emboldened in this city, LSU students are being robbed, shot and murdered. At least 4 have happened in the last 6 months and probably more that don’t get media coverage.

Some bars in Tigerland already do that for people that are obviously not in college. Reggie’s not being one of them and that’s why it’s always been described as “trashy”. However, this seems like people just wanting to place the blame somewhere to cope with the disgusting acts of these scumbags. They deserve more than a third degree rape charge.

Yeah we obviously do not know all the facts. I’m just going by the fact they over-served a minor. The insurer will put up a fight. Who knows what will happen in the courts. They could settle just to avoid litigation.

They can't be that naive to think underage drinking is some new phenomenon tied to LSU and/or Reggies. This happens at pretty much every college bar in every college town.
