Anybody got a decent estimate for full power restoration in BR? Were Gustav outages more widespread?

I got too much vacation time to sit in this heat.

I shut my generator off to refuel and holy shite the wind was howling. I don’t know how people without generators maintain their sanity listening to that shite for hours on end.

No. Entergy just gives out some generic update that because for he storm there are outages and no update can be given. Crews can not start work until conditions are safe. Idk what the conditions need to be considered safe for them.

I can’t wait until daylight to see the extent of everything. So far I still have power but it’s been blinking for the past hour. Hope I can watch the game tomorrow.

This don’t come close to Gustav in Baton Rouge. Gustav gusted to 91 mph at the BR airport. 100+ south of BR. BR is maxing out in the 50s tonight.

It’s not much fun. It never is, but it’s especially lame the past month and a half or so.

Winds have to be below 30mph i think for a certain amount of time before they start assessing. Once the assessment is done then the repairs start based on priority and how many customers can be brought online the quickest i believe is how it goes

My in-laws still have power. Guess we going to their house tomorrow cuz frick trying to sleep without power and a window unit that ain’t cooling shite down. Plus a 1 year old who doesn’t get it. Had to go in there and take his sleep sack off cuz he was sweaty. Poor guy. frick this. Did BR get it that bad or does entergy just have old shite that falls apart when a 5 mph wind happens?
