So 80% of the time, they’re at least 50mi off this far out. I guess it is good to be in the center of the cone right now.

As opposed to not being in the cone at all? Nah.

The center of the cone is the most likely place to get hit, even if it’s most likely to not hit exactly there.

There’s a clear difference between having a major hurricane at some point in the gulf and having a major hurricane at landfall. Anyone suggesting otherwise is idiotcasting.

A weakening major hurricane at landfall is a huge threat. Pretty significant precedent has shown that.

wasn't slack talking about a model run he was watching... discussing the nearing landfall on said model run?

Yes. I thought the 90 hr our image I posted provided enough context.

You're right. That's not enough data to tell if he/she is, in fact, not a snitch.

Do as much as you can as often as you can, bud. No better way to feel better than to keep going.

hate the nerdy cocksuckers in these threads who downvote every legit question just because it’s from someone that’s not a regular

Don’t think you’re getting downvoted for that. Asking how fricked BR and NOLA are is almost like asking about Punta Cana in these threads. It’s a meme, even if it’s legitimate in this case.

Lili came in only a few days after TS Isadore came through the same waters. If I remember correctly she stirred up the cool water so much that Lili suffered from cool water temps more than anything else leading to her collapse. Fuking Bob Breck came on before Lili hit saying people in Thibodaux were going to drown from Lili's surge only for her to collapse to almost nothing at landfall.

Unlikely Delta gets to cat 5, but a few models get it close on the high end.

ETA HWRF took it up to 140 mph this past run.

I know that, but it’s got some high end potential in the south/central GOM. It’s not out of the question.
