Today was so amazing - knowing how impossible these things are just makes you appreciate it

My 6yo was begging for a snow trip a few weeks ago, little did he know we’d get one in our backyard. I’d bet this will be one of the first core memories my kids will be able to recall decades from now.

Yep. An historic gulf coast blizzard. Meanwhile, I was talking to a coworker from Chicago today. Not much snow around, just bitter cold.

He’ll never forget it, that’s an awesome memory.

Heck, I’m 53 and still mesmerized by snowfall.

I was talking to my Pittsburgh cousins in our text chain earlier. Same thing there. It never gets that cold up there. -12

What was forecasted for your area? That seems like a big surprise!

Hi guys, I have a distressed wife in Nola and I’m in Atlanta. Is it possible I can rent a car and drive home Wednesday? Or do I need to wait for first flight Thursday? Thanks in advance

Its possible. It will be tough. The fact that you're asking inclines me to say that it's not a good idea for you to attempt it.

It's supposed to get to 14 according to NWS over at Kessler AFB which means we might hit single digits north of Biloxi
