I did quick math on mine. 6 inches of snow would be about 2300 lbs on my cheap aluminum patio cover!

I have no idea what they are rated for, but I am not feeling great about that math.

Mine came with the house it runs across a gap in the back of house, not a ton of support. We shall see how it goes

TWC app updated me from 3-5 inches to 5-8 inches. I expect a spousal upgrade to follow.

Maybe you cannot comprehend how it could sleet over 1 area but not another even though they are close. Or you just never went outside for the few minutes it happened.
