This was before everyone labeled things as liberal or offensive.

SPY could be amusing at times. "Separated at Birth" was usually dead-on.

Amazing that we've created a world wide forum called the internet and all it's done is get everyone offended about anything and everything.

I had moved to BR in August 89. I remember it snowed in New Orleans that winter when we were down there.

The Exxon explosion happened in 1989. It was like 8 degrees and the high that day was 25. I want to say it never got above freezing in baton rouge for 72 hours.

It was bitter cold a few days before Christmas. You are correct, the official low temperature dipped to 8 F at BTR airport. The all time record low is 2 F for BTR.

The winds were blowing at like 15 mph creating a windchill temperature of like -21 F.

Then government officials around 2001 ? Changed the windchill formula such that the readings are much warmer for a temperature of 8 F and a 15 mph wind. Gotta start that global warming narrative I guess ?

1989 windchill index : 8 F w/ 15 mph = -21 F
New govtment Index. : 8 F w/ 15 mph = -9 F

That’s the narrative NOAA pushes.
