if they tell you person to person in conversation- you’re going to think they cannot pronounce the letter T correctly - you will not know they are trying to say it in the indigenous way

You have to understand - I have worked with the public in different types of social services or customer service for over 20 years - I really just don’t care. Everyone wants to be special - no one is.

To clarify what I’m saying, knowing that someone from Toronto doesn’t say they are from Toronto, but are from Tkaronto tells you a fair bit about that person, in my opinion

Fatugue has set in. Everyone is sick of these prima donna's thinking they are special because they are "intersectional." It doesnt clarify anything, most humans dont want nor care to speak that language. The man took a one line intro and turned it into a fairy novel.

No one but you and the progressive females care about his social justice mastery.

Sure. But I’m not sure why we would focus on situations in which it wouldn’t be conveyed to the exclusion of situations in which it would. I’m sure they are legion, but for whatever reason, the first thing to pop into my head is being at a conference and having a choice of speakers for a particular time slot, looking at the bios, and seeing this. I would be less likely to choose that speaker for that time slot now that I know what I was looking at.

Wouldn’t you?

because you said ‘tells’ that usually means speech or conversation - so I used that example

I hope to never be at a conference where someone like this is included -I can’t see that happening due to where I work now, luckily for me

But having words in a bio that I don’t know is already strong indicator that I don’t want anything to do with this person - I don’t need to know what the words mean

Being this was a late edit:

I’ve likewise “worked with the public” for the last couple of decades. Something I’ve learned over the years is that, the faster I can spot red flags, the better. I see nothing to be gained by being ignorant of said red flags. But again, that’s just my opinion. You’re certainly entitled to yours

Words describing where they are from? There are tons of places on Earth I’ve never heard of. Why would that be a red flag in and of itself?

you can spot red flags without any words or knowing what words mean

I don’t need to read Tkarontonian to get a red flag from this person. Just one look is good.

With the job I have now - I have about 10 seconds to judge a person - whether or not I let her or him into the building - I make that judgment without a word or without knowing what Tkarontonian means.

Roger, now you’re just being an idiot. Which I’m used to and generally don’t mind, but don’t remove the paragraph from my post in which I say I would view this as a red flag and then accuse me of somehow supporting it. Your brain isn’t Swiss cheesed enough yet for me to let that bullshite go

You keep assuming you have more information. First it was that they were some flavor of queer. Now it’s how they look.

What is Tkarontonian was the only “odd” bit of information available? Still wish I had never posted and that you didn’t know what it means and implies?

because normal people who realize they are from a nondescript place will put the nearest big city or even the country or maybe even the proximity of a well known place

This person is trying to be a pain in the arse - that’s a red flag

Toure a lawyer, thats what they tend to do. See SFP and his purposeful obfuscation on the PB.

But know the public is very tired of this social justice behavior and the constant victimization.

Me:
“I’m glad I know what this term means so that way I can make a point of avoiding anyone who uses it in the future.”

Roger:
“WHY DO YOU SUPPORT THIS AND PLAY BOTH SIDES REEEEEEEE”

Never change, Rog
