Helicopter parent, are ya?

Maybe a little, but I don't really think so. We give her freedom appropriate for age and maybe even a little extra because of the age and school situation and the fact that she is usually pretty responsible. She is starting to make some of her own decisions and I'm fine with that. She does ask for me to do things for her a lot and prefer that I take care of things for her, but it's not necessarily because of me hovering, but her asking.

dude im calling mal practice there. and im not usually someone who says sue but in no way should this happen.

WTF? Sue? Why? What are the damages? Its a freaking immunization. You get exposed to antigens thousands of times a day. There are no damages.

Pain and suffering? Seriously, it was an immunization.
Mental Anguish? If you are this big of a pussy, then tough.

This is just a ridiculous statement. You know, check, recheck. There are millions of immunizations given by humans a year. Millions by humans. Humans are not perfect. This is going to happen extremely rarely. Thankfully no harm was done.

Be gracious about this. Go back and get the right immunization.

End of story.

I'm not looking for a lawyer anything, but I'm thinking the same thing. It could have been much worse.

Well anything could have been much worse. Someone didn't see me when I was running and I had to run on the grass on the side of the road. Didn't sue him. It could have been worse. He could have killed me.

Got coffee today. It was hot. It could've been much hotter and burned me. It could've been worse.

Sorry. Yes, you have a right to be annoyed. But there was no harm here. Get a grip on life here. Anything could've been worse. This wasn't.

Be the better man. Go back get the correct immunization.

nah

she's smart, ahead in her classes etc, older

autism hits when they get shot up like crazy before their system can even handle it. she may have dodged a bullet if she got accelerated shots as youngster

she's likely free from that danger

Dude, just stop.

Please.

Just stop.

Who are you suing for giving your daughter autism?

The MMR vaccine is the one that causes autism, silly. Jenny McCarthy told me so.

Well yeah, I did say I wasn't looking for a lawyer or anything. However, imo this a little different then your examples. Professionals just shouldn't overlook things like that.

I needed a measles vaccination to attend Auburn. My parents and I did not have time to deal with a doctors appointment so my dad sent me to the free health clinic.

As I was leaving he said. "Don't date anyone you meet at the free health clinic."

You can call me a schmuck or whatever else comes to mind, but I have never given anyone the wrong drug, dose or incorrect route. It is inexcusable that people in healthcare do their jobs without paying attention. It's not hard to read a medication label and make sure it matches the drug ordered.
