So I found a manual. It is the blue light which is supposed to indicate gas.
But this whole neighborhood does not have gas. It is all electric.
Reset it for now and I guess I will stay up for a while to see if it goes off again.

so, the detector is supposedly detecting natural gas in your house?...
are you sure this is not a carbon monoxide detector?... you can't smell CO...

It is all 3 and according to the manual a blue light means gas. CO would be a red light.

might be natural gas coming in through the sewer or something like that...I would call your natural gas service provider and let them check it out for you. That service is generally free.

It's bad. They are like $10 a piece to replace at walmart. Just changed all of mine out after they did the same thing.

Sounds like carbon monoxide. You don't need gas for it to be in the house. Gtfo

How old are your smoke detectors? They need to be replaced every 10-15 years.

This happened to me. It is a newer house, when it was less than a year old.
In my case, it wound up being a defective detector. The one bad one would make the whole house go off.
I made the builder give me all new smoke alarms. I wasn't going to chase down the faulty unit since it was under warranty.
Maybe unplug them one at a time and see if there is one in particular causing it?

Same thing happened in my house. Apparently they go bad or get dusty or whatever. Replaced.
