am I wrong for thinking it strange that someone who can afford a Porsche Cayenne SUV would need a gofundme?

In this situation, yes... yes you are.

And it's pretty close to where Greg Abbot was paralyzed by a falling tree branch years ago.

Yeah. I think he’s wrong. Abbott was paralyzed in Houston and this lady is in Dallas.

Vehicle purchases are invariably the dumbest financial decisions your average paycheck to paycheck person will make. 60 month financing and theyre in business driving King Ranch F250's, Porsche's etc.

They can barely afford the payments as it is.

Suing the homeowner would be downright evil. Suing his insurance is just.

Suing his insurance is just. If his tree were to have fallen on a neighbor's house, his insurance would pay for the damages. Same goes for a woman who is now paralyzed and drastically loses her quality of life.
many states it's based on if it's an act of God or weather.

I’m not giving to the go fund me, but damn yall are some assholes. It doesn’t matter that she drove a fricking Porsche, her and her family are going to be totally fricked up by this for the rest of their lives

People are shitting on this paraplegic woman for driving a 6 or 7 year old SUV worth like 35k.

Yeah. The anonymous nature of this board makes people ruthless.

Also, while I realize that there are a lot of posers in Dallas, I’m also amazed at the amount of vast wealth here. There’s a ton of people here that can afford a nice SUV. People are buying $3.5 million homes around here and tearing them down just to get the lot.
