He died a few days after the wreck. I doubt they left him hanging out the windshield to take a pic before transporting him to the hospital.

That might be the air bag. It probably deployed and he dragged it when he went through the windshield.

The officer had a pulse when he showed up to the hospital but was virtually dead. One of the surgeons working on him said the only thing holding his head on his body was his skin. The spine bones were absolutely demolished.
