My 18 year old was a really good teenager.

My 10 year old is going to be a fricking nightmare.

Girls are the worst and social media makes it even worse.

don't want to lay it all out there, but the girl is leading a charge against my daughter - they have been friends over the years, but life happens. I'm not expecting them to be best friends but getting other girls to do shitty things to my daughter for the hell of it isn't acceptable either.

So instead of teaching her how to confront the bully you are teaching her to tattle tale to her dad.

Oh no my friend the meanness starts way before 12. Try 6 years old. These are ruthless cutthroat little demons and they prey on weaker little girls. I have personally witnessed manipulation, shunning, eye rolling, spreading false rumors and many other disturbing things perpetrated by these so called sweet innocent little girls. Bobby mama right "lil girls the devil".

1St things 1st. Tell he never to doubt herself. Let her know she is not the one with a problem. Go on to tell her about peer pressure, cliques and bully and that those who give her a rough time are really just insecure. Tell her she is really special to temporarily be the target of this crap because it affirms what you have always known about your daughter and that is she is more mature, kinder, respectful and generally headed for great things. Tell her not to be surprised by this stuff and definitely don't for a minute show anyone that it bothers you. Good luck

The latest one - I know the dad of the mean girl. I consider him a good man. I'm thinking about calling him and letting him know what is happening

He can't correct her if he doesn't know. Just be careful the words you use when telling a man his daughter is a bitch.

I have a 14 yo. Girls are straight up mean. I never experienced anything like it as a teenage boy. Blows my mind.

I've got 2 boys and 2 girls. Girls many times ages 3-6ish can be meaner. Whereas we tell our boys at a young age to not hit a girl, we don't really think about our girls hitting a boy. Just saying, you always hear about daddy's bragging about their little girl popping a boy but that's fairly common and doesn't mean much. Now if she's doing it at 16 then I'll give her props.

School is becoming more of a negative influence. These kids put unbelievable pressure on each other and it's getting worse, because it's more petty than ever. I see everyone being educated via home computer in a couple decades.

Its more of being a bitch than bullying at this point. But my little girl is hurt over it. I repeated the "some girls are bitches" line to her but this one hurt more because they had been friends.

Not sure if it works as well with girls but when I was like 10 yrs old a couple guys were giving me hell cause I was the new kid at school. My dad told me to punch them in the nose. He said if I was outnumbered hide a bat in the bushes and find them after school.

I followed said advice. Put one kid in the hospital, got suspended for a week. Never got picked on again

Punched in the nose or beat down with a bat? You'd probably get expelled these days for punching in the nose unless self defense. Planting a bat and then beating someone with it would certainly get you expelled and probably juvi.

Good luck.

Pretty much no one will appreciate your efforts.

Humor will be a necessity.
