I am very casual, but I have been shocked to see people show up for visitation in shorts, sandals, T-shirts suitable for mowing the yard, etc. And not at like a biker funeral. Regular old folks with most attendees dressed in church or work type clothes. Some just don’t give a shite.

The amount of business conducted at Hooters would surprise you. Tits, arse, and beer Trump fine dining more often than not

My last job interview took place in a restaurant/bar and that was for a defense contractor that I still work for. Got the job, free dinner, and a great buzz.

This isn't as subtle a brag as you think it is.

This brag was subtle like Pearl Harbor was a humble suggestion to change our Far East policy.

I am guessing most of the interviewers are already with the company and you know them right?

At every interview I've had, I've told the boss to eat a dick.

Claiming to be evaluating job candidates for a "high level executive position" and using the term "cussing" and "cussed" makes me wonder. Were you "dissed" by their actions?

It would most assuredly be an interview ender for me. "Well, that about wraps it up. We'll be in touch."

Any cursing... not just f-bombs and GD's. If you can't control yourself in an interview, I don't want you working for me.

That would be a deal breaker for me but you may be right about the present day decorum. Sad state of affairs I think.

I was immediately taken aback. Has all decorum evaporated from society? Is this now acceptable? What gives?

That whole "wear a suit no matter what" thing is bullshite.

Being younger and in sales, I do not agree with you. Yes 9/10 times the person is overdressed but it is a sign of respect for them taking time out of their day to interview me.

Also, dress for the position you want. Not the position you have...but also dress for your clientele.
