Current AT&T mobile subscribers need to check your account...

Effective today, AT&T is doubling the data offered in each plan but also increasing the price of each plan from $5 to $20 a month. However, their rep told me you can call them to keep your same plan or do what I did and lower your plan if you don’t need all the extra data they are now offering. I was able to save $65 a month. Worth looking into.

I switched tto AT&T prepaid a few months ago. It cut my bill in half and everything else has been the same. We actually have more Data now. The only down side is that you have to buy your phone outright. But if you are disciplined to set money back to pay for it that isn’t a problem.

I just looked at my account and even with the doubled data, my bill is only going up $3.60/mo?

Unlimited data checking in

Yeah who doesn’t have unlimited?

We have it, but it's unnecessary if it wasn't a family plan. The 6 lines use 21GB on average.
The plans out now have no overage charges for going over your monthly data, they just cap your speed once you've used your monthly allowance. You can't use things like YouTube after you've gone over your allowance, but we're on WiFi the majority of the time anyway.

I’m still grandfathered into the ATT original unlimited plan.

Got rid of it when I got a work cell.
Reducing our plan allowed us to get two new phones and keep my old line and still be cheaper than our two unlimited plans.
Went from using like 18 gigs a month to 3+/- so it made sense to reduce.
ETA We had the original unlimited plan as well, and I kept WiFi off.
