COX LSU Geaux box discount

Two years ago my internet only bill with Cox with LSU discount was 45$. Now with new discount it is significantly increased to about 60$ for "preferred internet". When did such a price increase happened?
I see that it probably includes ESPN3 to watch live on internet.
Are there any other internet providers in south Baton Rouge? (I live near Burbank/Bluebonnet). I am only interested in internet, no TV or phone.

If you get internet only they give you the shaft. I had Direct TV and internet. The internet was $52.00. When I got rid of Direct TV the internet went up to $79 and with a data cap of 1 tb.

From my bill. It is $52.55 with the Geaux Box discount

Probably you activated it before this year. Somewhere I read on LSUHC website that cox prices increased this January. It did not say how much.

Broke can hook you up with Comcast. Use his email address when you sign up and you will get the best plan & service for the money.

It did, but I believe I was getting 20 Mbps then. Not bad, and kind of insane considering that the fastest I can get in my office is 1 Mbps from ATT Uverse.
