Apparently, her family was furious at her and said she had disgraced their family by leaving her husband. So now she is back here, working at her old job, and she does not call my coworker fat anymore for now.

It doesn't matter. She still thinks he is an American Slothburger and hates his guts. The fact that her family shamed her into a minimum level of politeness has not changed anything. She will serve him up as sweet and sour pork one day.

He needs to send her on down the road. Yesterday. Oh, she has also been stealing from him and hooking.

My Vietnamese BIL ( most generous guy I know) went to China about a decade ago to find a bride . He wanted an old school Buddhist girl, not a materialistic Vietnamese- American Girl .He came back with one, she is the sweetest person I have ever met (OT 2) , she spoils my kids , she is kind and compassionate, a GREAT cook , helped us immensely in our time of family grief , etc . I told my kids , she quite literally has the highest place of honor in our entire extended family . She maybe has the best character of anybody I’ve ever met . So these things can work out...
