You won't find many people that will say DCH is a good hospital.
They have stated that their personnel are not up to date on 20 year old practices. They also stated that their personnel are highly qualified to perform comprehensive sexual assault victim care and testing.
No testing results exist.

Is one person's testimony enough to bring charges on someone?
I'd hope not, but I really don't know.
I agree, but unfortunately there was 0 investigating after this. Instead, they made it a point to scare her even more.
Opinions are like assholes, but IMO the fact that she eventually killed herself is weighty. Not to mention the hospital's inability to administer a rape kit? I mean, what?
Not to mention there is a long line of evidence of this poor girl falling into a deep depression.
quote:
When Megan Rondini sought counseling from the university, her first therapist had to withdraw because she personally knew Bunn.
A federal lawsuit filed by the Rondinis on Monday accuses Bunn, members of the sheriff's department and two university officials of causing "Megan extreme depression, anxiety, PTSD" and "feelings of worthlessness and hopelessness... which directly led to Megan's loss of life."
"We would get phone calls where she would be afraid. She's like, 'mom there's a car outside and it keeps circling.' She didn't feel safe," Cindy said.
Much more going on here than just 1 person's testimony.

You bring in her "sorority sisters" and start questioning them and I bet assholes start to get puckered.

To me her actions signal someone who obviously traumatized, terrified, and trying to get out of there which is why she grabbed the money and gun. Money for a cab and the gun to defend herself. Clearly, this is someone trying to get away and not a theft.
Had she broken a trellis climbing down, they would have used a vandalism charge against her as well. They bullied her with threats to protect their boy at all costs.
The Sheriff and his deputies are protected under state law against retribution for their actions. They are not protected under state law from violating her federal civil rights. This thing will continue to grow.

Its a shite hospital - its the same one that got Prothro infected after he broke his leg and essentially ended his career if memory serves me correctly.

Also that is grounds for the university to pull her scholarship(If she had one) and kick her out of school.
This right here tells me all I need to know about where the cops heads were at....she took the rapist's gun and gets charged with a felony. frick Tuscaloosa PD. They are assholes and anyone who went to Bama could tell you that....along with Tuscaloosa County Sheriff and West Alabama Narc Squad. They are redneck p.o.s departments who get their jollies fricking with students. This is nothing new.
but you still haven't shown me anything about 'collusion" or how the University turned their backs on her.

All this is very true and if the OP read "Could Tuscaloosa PD be the next Baylor cover-up case" the answer would be - its very possible.
Now COULD UA be the next Baylor - I guess anything is possible - I just fail to see the connection (or even much smoke seeing as UA isn't even listed as a defendant, only two employees). That could change if an investigation brings a bunch of new information about cover-ups from UA to light.

I'm pretty sure that dude was done even without the infection.

You're still in denial that's okay the feds will be sniffing around that campus soon enough
Posted on 7/5/17 at 3:07 pm to TigerstuckinMS
Maybe, but just thought it would highlight how bad the hospital was by not even taking quality care of a star player on the team.

yeesh ... i thought we had made it past all that.
Honestly its a very big story as is - there really isn't any need to try and throw other shite on the wall from your end, but carry on.

You ever thought that maybe old Nick knew he was done and they just didn't bother sending him to a good hospital. No sense in wasting resources on a non-factor.
EDIT: Yeah, forgot Shula was still the coach when Prothro's leg did its grenade impression. Saban is the coach that kicked him off the team. It's the systemic and repeated failure of the University of Alabama to take care of people that matters here, though.

If he had been the coach at that time, maybe so...

Was she their priority when she did her rape interview in the lobby of campus police, then shuffled around to three other men to ask the same questions?
How about when she was shuffled to a different counselor who reportedly wouldn't counsel her until she got on anti anxiety meds? Where is this counselor's medical degree that allows her to diagnose, and write prescriptions?
How was she protected and served by the Title IX office? They took the word of the good old boy network and brushed her off.

Im glad you are here. You seem to bring a different approach to this thread. Me and BRGetthenet sometimes can only go so far so its good to know you are here to take up the slack.

Thanks Baw, Glad to be here. I would think more gumps would be interested in the truth instead of just trying to kick people's teeth in for threatening their precious.
I have a teenage daughter (No pics) that is about to go off to a big, scary SEC school. This whole thing certainly interests me, just for the education I am getting.

I'm glad you are here too, you seem to have a genuine interest instead of just trying to troll bama fans (while getting in a reasonable amount of the latter of course)
