This is just amazing. It just goes to show you that the only thing good in that program is the Louisiana native and LSU grad, Scotty Cochran.
We should make LSU jerseys with Megan written on the back and the number '17 and wear them to the game this year in a show of solidarity for all the rape victims that just get tossed aside in this Timbuktu shithole of a town.

Thanks for commenting with that info. - the filing sheds light on what exactly the complaints against UA were and, the way the title IX office handled the situation was very bad. DCH is terrible hospital and it almost isn't surprising that they fricked up so bad as I said earlier in the thread. The situation clearly seems like a small town / good ole boy protection story with TPD and Bunn, hopefully this case brings changes to the way TPD and DCH operate in addition to what happened that nights.
Also, if the allegations in the filings are partially true, the title IX officer will soon be replaced with someone who understands compliance a little bit better. I agree with what you said about being referred to a professional psychiatrist - the first person she saw was a grad student and certainly not who I would want to see, or someone in my family to see, after a severely traumatic event.

Damn Plaacebeaux. You have been fighting the good fight in this thread. Hats off to you.
I have only read about 5 articles on this and 10 ish pages of the thread. I am not surprised at all of the Bama fans actions here. Not because they are dickheads, even though it would seem so on the surface.
All of the deflection from the crime, blaming LSU, blaming the victim, minimizing the actions of the guilty, etc. is just the first stage of grief. Most of them are still in denial, the first stage of dealing with grief.
Yellowhammer is making it through the stages quicker, leading me to believe he has experienced many grievous losses before. Congrats and condolences to him.
You will continue ducking bullets because you are a somewhat tangible target. They will eventually work their way through the stages and arrive where everyone who is not so heavily invested is.
Stay strong.

Thanks Hangit, I too am starting to see a coming around by a few bama fans just in the last page but as we all know for every one bama fan that sees the light 10-100000 are still in denial.

Don't get me wrong changing one or two Gump's opinions after 25 pages of undeniable mounting evidence is one thing but changing a whole rape culture at a university as big as Alabama is a whole nother task entirely

I still don't see what this has to do with the football program. I'd love to see Bama fall from grace as much as any non-Bama fan, but nothing is going to come of this in terms of the football team.

Finally coming around and seeing what's going on is a good thing but you can do more. You are behind the Enemy Lines and for someone like you to raise awareness on campus would be the next step.

I'd like to see more bama fans come in here and admit to how disgusting and dishonest they've been about this all, and to apologize.
Then, they need to figure out a way to bring the Bunn nerd to justice. This guy should absolutely get run clean the frick out of town, at the very least.
But yeah, two or three posters saying this is a pathetic and horrible story does little to change my mind about the rape culture at The University of Alabama, the despicable reputation of the Bunn family, or the criminal charges that should be brought against the UAPD.

The numbers of those who were led to walk away or coerced into walking away is pretty damned high. While few will probably come forward on their own, a Title IX investigation digs deep.
Their investigation will take a few years to finish but they are pretty damned thorough.

Anybody tried to meet Bunn at Sonic yet?

So DCH and TPD are shite? That's common knowledge.

That look is the end result of decades of living in a rape culture. He knows he does not have to rely on his appearance or his game to get women. All he has to do is rape to satisfy the sexual need.

I don't think they have Sonic in Tuscaloosa. You would have to meet him at the Hardee's or the Whataburger.

Jeez, they don't even have a fricking Sonic? Hardee's or Whataburger will have to do. It's time to check this fruitcake's knuckles.

Still yeesh unfortunately. None of what i said differs majorly from that of 20ish pages ago - outside of the new information regarding the allegations against title IX officer. However, that new info still doesn't provide support for any grand UA affiliated cover up conclusions. Furthermore, any such conclusion without supporting evidence only serves to distract from potential discussion focusing on the actual areas of concern re - Title IX Officer, DCH, TPD, Bunn.
Also I don't live there anymore so can't help, sorry.

If I were a federal investigator I would start with Megan's sorority. What they did with bringing awareness to Suicide Prevention and mentioning nothing absolutely nothing of sexual assault or rape tells me that they were told by the higher-ups at the University you better not put a poster about rape or sexual assault or you will have your house kicked off a campus and your Charter revoked. Why would a sorority not stand with their sister and support her claims? I'll tell you why because they put Bama before Sisterhood and it's a goddamn shame.

Forgive my sophomoric questions because I am just coming up to speed on some of this.
The first person she saw told her she could not help her because she was personal friends with the accused's family. She then wrote in a report that she had heard of the family. Which is it?
The second person reportedly told her that she could not help her until she got on anti anxiety meds. Is this person a physician, able to diagnose and prescribe meds? A psychologist cannot, a psychiatrist can.
One article said it paid quite handsomely for TPD to turn the other way when Little T bagged another victim. Has this been verified yet? What is local rumor on that?
Does the law in Alabama really say that if a rape victim did not fight like a tiger, she was not raped?
How wealthy is this family? I have read the extent of their University ties and am just curious of the size of the pot of gold.
