Tobacco was the original crop that required imported manual labor.

Probably just 10 AK-47’s. Effective to 350+. Fear can cripple.

Thinking about it, 10 bolt guns in 6.5 with modern glass would have probably done it.

Union soldiers wouldn’t be able to rest easy knowing they could get picked off from well over a mile away, it would be paralyzing. Officers would be eliminated immediately.

10 sniper teams strategically placed during crucial battles could have won the war.

A better question is how many SF guys with AR’s and modern tech and gear would it take to turn the tide. 15?

Guns of the South was a really good book. South Africans with time travel sell the South tons of AKs. By the end of the war the gun manufacturers figure out decent copies and ammo.
But i think the 9 book long Southern Victory series he did was better. Explored how the world wars would have gone with the US vs CS dynamic still going on.

They weren’t winning regardless. We had more men, more support, and higher morale. 100 AKs isn’t going to kill 2,000,000+ soldiers.

ok. Two well equipped tanks and two well equipped choppers with the ability to reload could have wiped out the entire northern army in a Monday-Friday work week if not faster.
