I wish this board was around when stores started putting up the No Shirt, No Shoes, No Service signs.

hell, most here would celebrate a "no sagging pants or do rags" policy.

Would support. Would also support a no talking on the phone at checkout rule.

Love the Billy Badass posters who claim they are never going in Costco ago and will rip up their membership. Most of the posters are all bark and no bite anyways.

There was a convenience store by our old house that had signs on the door that said you couldn't enter with sagging pants. I'm fine with a private business doing that and this to be honest.
If you don't like it shop somewhere else.

If you are going to require masks, might as well go one step further and state the type of mask required. Some gangster bandana isn't going to help.

Like trying to put the toothpaste back in the tube.
COVID-19 has been spreading for at least 4 months in the US and most states are on the decline.
Now they want to get super duper serious about stopping the spread?

Most businesses will require customers to wear masks for the rest of this year.
That is the reason to complain now. Or protest by spending your dollars elsewhere.
You let one company do it then all the rest feel the need to out retard each other.
See what happened with state lockdowns.

here's the policy statement from their website:
There's your exemption: "no mr costo greeter I am not able to wear a mask due to a medical condition as per your policy statement and here is a copy for your review. What medical condition? That's a matter between me and my physician and not to be disclosed as per HIPAA".
quote:
Face Mask Requirements
To protect our members and employees, effective May 4, all Costco members and guests must wear a mask or face covering that covers the mouth and nose at all times while at Costco. This requirement does not apply to children under the age of 2 or to individuals who are unable to wear a mask or face covering due to a medical condition.
The use of a mask or face covering should not be seen as a substitute for social distancing. Please continue to observe rules regarding appropriate distancing while on Costco premises. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Will the greeter be checking for proper mask usage?
Will they deny entry if the mask is worn improperly?
Will they deny entry if they see a dirty mask?
Will they ask when was the last time this mask was sanitized?
If they aren't doing all that, they are just allowing filthy germ ridden vehicles for transmission into the stores.
They should set up wash stations and require everyone to wash hands for 20 seconds before entering.
And a temperature check if they really wanted to be extra.
Masks are about "feels" and "we care" marketing.

so let's open a whites only Costco.
What a ridiculous stretch.

I have never been in CostCo, and now I don’t have to think about ever going there.
Posted on 4/29/20 at 11:12 am to frankthetank
And I bet they won’t have a single mask available to buy. I think any businesses requiring masks should have a supply for their customers.

My membership lapses this month so this is reason enough to not renew until this policy ends. I love Costco, but I'm not paying to wear a mask.
Thank you for your bravery
