As of yesterday they have performed 5 tests.

Your girlfriend wouldn’t meet the current criteria to be tested.

IMO, we shouldn’t be admitting positive cases or quarantining them in negative pressure rooms in order to maintain hospital flow and manage the resources we have.

My state and county department of health just released guidelines that align with WHO.

They are telling us airborne isolation isn’t needed for suspect cases. Just droplet, contact, with eye protection. No negative pressure room needed.

Only time negative pressure and airborne iso needed is if you will be performing a procedure that could aerosolize particles (bronchoscopy, intubation, etc, etc).

They are also telling us we don’t need to automatically quarantine every single healthcare worker that may have been exposed. They sent specific guidelines on what to do in those situations.

Lsunurse, they are bullshitting you... there's not enough neg-pressure rooms to quarantine everyone who should be, so they say it's not necessary.

If what they said was true, it wouldn't have spread through a cruise ship the way it did.

I find it interesting that it seems to cluster in one particular hot spot. This Lombardy region is getting crushed. China looked the same with Wuhan. We need to find our hot spot.

It’s possible. But right now they are probably the state that is testing the most. So is that why we think it’s the hotspot or is it reality?

A cruise ship is tight quarters. Just need to be within 6 feet of someone with it for it to spread.

And considering this is from my state department of health who is working with WHO and has a physician on staff from the CDC.....I’m gonna guess they know a lot more than you.
