Most people will know what you’re trying to say, but just some minor points:

1.) “line” and “curve” are usually referring to the same thing (the line or connected dots that you see on a graph)

2.) “trend” is an a tribute of the aforementioned “line” or “curve” and describes its general direction.

I think what you’re trying to say is “if the trend of the curve flattens”.

I really wasn’t trying to be snarky. If you took it that way, then I apologize.

When I use words incorrectly I appreciate when people let me know. That’s all I was doing.

I put that in the last line of my first post. But I’m not even sure why you’re asking since it’s clear you don’t want me to tell you anything.
