Cornering and braking events are also recorded.

Didn't I say GPS tracks speed and location? The two factors required to figure out braking/cornering/acceleration/deceleration (i.e. "aggressive" driving)? So, as I said, there are a million shitty driving maneuvers that you could do that would look like regular driving to a GPS. For instance, overly passive drivers are some of the shittiest out there and a GPS tracker would probably give them top marks.

ETA: And again, just because someone is watching you doesn't make you any less shitty at what you are doing. Did you catch any Bengals games last season? shite ton of people watching them and they were garbage at football.

It has certainly caused a DRAMATIC drop in traffic accidents and subsequent injuries and fatalities.

Best road safety numbers we'll likely ever see in our lifetimes.

I saw somewhere Allstate is refunding customers a portion of premiums.

Some of these companies are for customers who live in areas with complete lockdown, yeah.

But saving on the expense/cost of the entire claims process for accidents is letting them pocket money they weren't expecting to pocket so they can give back premiums and not sweat it. Legal expenses alone are astronomical.

Plus, most of the country isn't on mandatory NYC style lockdown so a majority of their customers still aren't driving much and will still owe their premiums.

And if someone seen me doing these "shitty maneuvers" there's a 800 number on the back of my truck along with my unit number that they can report me. Not worth the risk.

If you nearly missed something, you actually did have an impact, collision, etc.

Ahhh George Carlin. I miss that guy.

Just because the shittiness of the driver is observed, does not mean you aren't a shite driver. GPS only tracks speed and location, there are a million shitty driving maneuvers that you could do that would look like regular driving to a GPS.

You had better luck trolling on reddit than you do here.

Did you drive up on a car at 5 am that had hit a tree throwing out one passenger and then catching on fire with the other two people still in the car? I drove up on that scene going turkey hunting weekend before last. It was unsettling
