I have the Echo 58v weed eater and couldnt be happier. It gets about an hour of battery life which is more than enough and you can get attachments.

Recently got an 56V Ego (not echo) from Home Depot. Check them out. Highly recommended. $199 great reviews.

Unless you can do your yard in 10 minutes take that 150 and get a Stihl and a bike lock.

Don't waste your time. Go with gas powered and be sure to use gas that doesn't contain any ethanol.

Bunch of pussies up in this thread

Weird comment. Anyway, I have a Ryobi and it works great except the trimmer line doesn't last at all. Which probably has nothing to do with it being a battery. But I'd have to use a whole spool, sometimes 1.5 spools just for my average size suburban yard. I pay a Mexican $25 now.

stihl 150-200.00 weed eaters are not the same as their commercial grades; the one i had sucked balls and our Stihl guy that worked on it admotted it was junk.

Screw electric. The cells will quit working.
Get you a Stihl entry level model and you'll never look back.

My only complaint is the cost of the trimmer line...$20 for a 3-pack at Lowe's.

This! Have this same trimmer and got the free extra battery too. Trimmer works great. My lot is a little bigger than .25 acre and it does all the edging and trimming of front & backyard on 1 charge... Usually can do whole lot twice before changing out battery.

I do hate the $20 for for a small 3 pack of line at Lowe's. Wish it would let you change heads and go with the 2 pieces of thick line kind.

I just buy regular line and use the old spools from the pack. Much cheaper

I got the Ryobi weedeater/edger and the first time I used it I wasn't impressed but ever since then it has been great. Battery will last a good 30 minutes easily. The motor may bog down if you're cutting into the ground. But for under $100 it's pretty awesome and the battery works on other tools too. I would have never bought one myself but got it as a gift for my bday and I felt obligated to try it.

I have this one with the edging attachment and a leaf blower. I can trim, edge and blow off the clippings with no problem. I have two batteries a 4 and a 2 amp.

I cut the grass with a fiskars reel mower and don't ever have to mess with gas cans or oil.

I have one, and I love it. Battery lasts just long enough to take care of all of the weeds tong and edging for my yard. I got a model that also plugs in in case the battery doesn't last.

I recently got the Kobalt 80V. Got a 2nd battery free with a rebate, and it attaches to the same attachments I bought previously for my troy built

I'm happy with it so far.

Agree with the Ego out of Home Depot (Can also get it on Amazon). The 56 volts of power is about the equivalent to my previous 3 HP lawnmower. I have the lawnmower, weed eater, leaf blower and hedge trimmer. The weed eater is 199, but you can pick it up for 99 bucks if you already have a battery (from one of their other items). For a medium size yard it is great.

Also, Ego has excellent customer service. The switch on mine broke after about a year. They sent me a new one with absolutely zero hassle. The warranty on their products is 5 years.

I think they sell those next to the purses at Belk. I'd check there first.

you judge a guys manliness by his weed eater? I pay a Mexican so that trumps all your macho yard equipment.
