The killer? That would be awesome to have him caught so quick.

I have no love for cops but this kinda shite saddens me.

They took a guy into custody a bit ago. Pretty sure it's going to be the guy.
They wanted to go last night, but Armstrong delayed it. Which, for the purpose of not killing half that apt complex was smart.

If he's the guy, I'm sad they got him alive

Oh he's alive, but he ain't happy. MPD tac still does things very old school in some aspects.
I'll never envy the local guys that are out there doing stops on a daily basis like what took place last night.

if they know for sure they have their guy... I hope he got a few thousand volts of electricity sent through him after "resisting"

5 months ago I moved out of Memphis and I haven't regretted it a day since. I had frequent interaction with some MPD officers and it was evident they were over worked, under paid, and stressed to the limit.

this is the medias fault. Cops will have to use more caution because they will be afraid of any backlash, and more will be killed. Personally i would rather it be the pos in the vehicle dead than the cop. Shoot first, answer questions later. Their job is tough enough as it is

Don't worry. Mayor will chastise Chief and Chief will apologize to save his job.
I think Armstrong is retiring soon so it doesn't matter.

I love my city. I lobbied hard to get assigned back here. I've lived in Memphis my whole life and I don't plan to change that.
The local guys I've worked with have been wonderful. They're overworked and underpaid, but they still work their asses off day in day out.

yea cops should shoot everyone they pull over in routine traffic stops. That makes a lot of sense you dumb fricking hick.
RIP to the officer. Obviously one wants to prevent something like this but it is a danger inherent to the job. Your suggestion is ludicrous. What proportion of traffic stops end with a shootout? Cops can't just start shooting up motorists they pull over on a regular basis.

Cops lives matter.
You racist piece of shite, did you know that 60,000 blacks are sold into slavery, killed, or eat lunch at a Golden Corral on a daily basis.

Cop came up on a Mercedes illegally parked... passenger got out... fought w/ cop and shot him
looked like the officer may have interrupted a drug transaction
suspect is 29 yo Tremaine Wilbourne... still at large... wanted on 1st degree murder charge
driver turned himself in and has since been released
ETA: and Dir. Armstrong drops the "all lives matter" boom again
