Cop shoots two Pit Bulls while responding to burglary false alarm...

Both dogs survived somehow. Video inside link. Cop should have def used more restraint as the dogs did not threaten or charge him. I'm not a fan of pits but what the cop did was fricked up. Dogs were in their fenced in yard and were not bothering anyone. Cop was scared shitless as he still scaled the 8 foot fence after shooting the dogs.

That cop profiled them dogs. I bet if they were toy poodles he wouldn't have shot them.

If there were 2 pit bulls there then it wasn't a false alarm.

Shitty situation and if it was my dog's id be pissed but there's not much actionable fault here against the officer

I get that but the pits were not charging him and he had a chance to jump over the fence before unloading his clip. He jumped back over the fence after he shot them. So why not do it before?

Staffordshire's are pretty much harmless if brought up in a good home. I own one and she might lick you to death. With that said I hate American Pit Bulls, I have had to kill two one of which was mauling my neighbor. I have a few dogs and this one worries me the least, they live to love people and attention. Sad they are lumped in with the "Pit Bull" Label.
