Nope.

Again, criminal convictions and civil findings are not even remotely in same ballpark. It's sloppy journalism.

Not only are the burdens of proof different but the requisite acts to determine fault are different.

You can't get a criminal conviction if no one will arrest you. Law enforcement is not going to arrest their own except in rare cases. That is the point that I am making.

Most cops are going to come to the defense of Moruzzi here because it will benefit them if they screw up and face discipline. They are also going to be defensive because they feel they are being attacked because of the criminal vs civil argument. Also, I'm willing to bet that the alternative to unseat Moruzzi was not one the majority of police officers were willing to vote for. I personally don't think he should hold that title either but can understand why he is there and why police officers would be upset about this report.
