So... doing a stamped patio with a concrete fire pit on one end

27Wx12L

Estimate was 3200.

My plan sounds better...

From what I've been told because they can't pull the truck up directly to my patio and instead have that haul is via wheelbarrow it is going to cost me almost 3k extra

They should rent a Georgia Buggy

There is an electric wheelbarrow that they actually stand on (forget what it's called) that can be rented for around $300, so if he is talking about a regular wheelbarrow he is an idiot and it shouldn't cost $3,000 extra.

I had my patio built from scratch for $4500 (25 X 15) in the Lafayette area. All wood matching my house with 12 X 12 posts and rolled roof. It has been around 5 years since this was built.

$26k is ludicrous but it is a fact that contractors are slammed with work right now and are just bidding what ever the hell they think they might be able to charge. As one told me straight to my face after I pointed out how absurd his bid was - "I know it's a ridiculous price but I am super busy and if you want to pay that crazy price then I will be willing to drop everything and do the job."

Is that shingled?

I thought the roof had to be a certain slope before using shingled roof.

I had an aluminum cover similar to that at my last house that basically gives the same effect. No one could see my backyard anyway so wasn't too worried about how well it matched the house.

Looking to redo my back patio slab and all.... Looking at a 25Wx13L area... I've been quoted at 26k to redo the slab and then build up the back patio while raising the roof. Currently it sits at 6ft and I want it at 9ft so coming off the roof of my house.
Does this seem accurate?

Seems to be. Using a boom will cost alot more but not 3k, should be half that at most. The raising on the roof could potentially be where you are getting into intense labor costs. I'd have to see scope of project to be more accurate bit if 2 contractors are within that margin, its very likely this is what project will end up costing.

It is rolled roof that was heated down it is not straight shingles... I'm not that familiar, and I had the same concerns, but haven't had any problems.
