better go ride in a few first, all Subaru suv's are not insulated at all and you hear road noise so loud you keep turning up the radio just to hear is.
sister just got rid of her forester for that very reason, it was just too loud when driving, you hear everything as though the windows were rolled down even with them rolled up.
that was her only complaint, just too loud and noisy to drive it. it drove her crazy to the point of selling it, just saying

You won't regret that purchase. My wife loves her outback

This one is plenty quiet. No road noise.
Wife looked at the Forester too. Is the Forester a small step down from the Outback?

I have a Forester and love it. 08 model and has 230k miles on it. I've put 100k on it in 2 years and still running like a champ

Great purchase.. I just bought my wife a Legacy - same frame/drivetrain as Outback I believe. She loves it.

Apples to oranges... sort of. Outback rides more like a car but is longer. Forester rides more like an SUV and is taller. Outback seems like a better car and I prefer its look to the forester.

Nothing screams left wing liberal like a Subaru. Don't be a left wing liberal.

Do people realize how dumb statements like this make them appear?
Picking a vehicle because of possible political assumptions strangers may have about you?
Conservatives should make financially sound decisions. Like buying an insanely reliable and useful vehicle.

My loaded 2016 outback has AWD and the same ground clearance as Silverados.
It is also very nice on the interior.
