Worthless to compare arrest rates if you don't also compare crime rates.

It's more that who commits more crime. It also is how the arrestees act once confronted by police. If you act like a jerk, youvarecalmostcassured of being arrested for a crime. If you cooperate are are respectful then, there is a much higher chance of a better outcome.

Yes. My county. Washington County in NWA, where Fayetteville and the U. of Arkansas is located had a 12 black to 13.1 non-black arrest rate.

We have a bigger issue with illegal hispanics and uneducated Marshallese and Hmong committing crimes here than the traditional black guys from Marianna bringing drugs up here.

Even though we did have a Fayetteville Cop shoot and kill a black dude from Marianna that had numerous previous drug convictions and he fought the cops taking one of their tasers and trying to use on the police before he was properly capped 7 times, and forensics came back with the felon's fingerprints on the officer's gun matching up with the incident report the officers filed.

A culture of taking and not earning, a culture that worships criminality over education is always going to run afoul of the law.

Edit: furthermore, "ya'll" can be a contraction of "ya all" which makes sense since many southerners use "ya" in place of "you" in speech

I agree. I think the bigger problem is family structure and socioeconomic standings. There is no denying that lower income and crime are positively correlated. That being said, how do you attack family values and building up your community when it's so broken?

I wish someone would do a study showing how many times blacks are the victims of crimes committed by blacks. If, on the one hand, it seems unfair that more blacks are arrested, it would be likewise unfair, on the other hand, if you didn't investigate and prosecute crimes where blacks are the victims.
