For hyundai, you have elantra, sonata, etc

frick Hyundai, I drove a Sanata for a couple of months and it is the shittiest driving car I've ever driven. It just feels weird, like there's very little connection between the steering wheel and the road. You know how when you're coming out of a turn, you typically just let the wheel straighten itself out? Not in Hyundai!

I drive an Altima, it doesn't get the best mileage (around 20 mixed city/highway for the 3.5L) but it's fairly fun to drive, has pretty decent getup for what it is.

Whatever you get, at least take a 1/2 assed look at the crash ratings.

Some of those cars are pretty crappy. (yes, I'm looking at you Kia and Mazda)

I also keep hearing they have issues still.

So kinda like women I guess.

I was. I want one bad. I just can't justify it and it doesn't make sense for me to get one yet. I have close to an 80 mile commute one way.

I'll buy the truck I want in a few years. Big green is gonna have to keep totting the mail until then.

I'm a somewhat aggressive driver. The Sonata does not feel sporty in the least. Yes, I know it's not a sports car, but neither is my Altima and I'm quite happy with it.

Damn, that's a long commute.

You opposed to a hatch-back? I'd give a used VW Golf GTi (r32 if you can find one) or a new Ford Focus a good look.

Guess it depends on how many doors you want/need.

I hope you are making A LOT! For 2 years I drove 55 miles each way in Los Angeles, which is probably worse than 80 miles in La, and it sucked but I would do it again in a heartbeat if I could get that $ again!

Oh I am an aggressive driver as well and my rental was in San Francisco so I had to drive the shite out of it and it was fine. I have no idea how it compares to an Altima though so if they are in the same price range I would advise him to listen to you.

It's enough for sure

It's a long drive but it isn't bad at all as long as it doesn't rain a whole bunch.

Good friend travels mid-South selling . Puts 90k a year on his Camry. Gets 30mpg and gets a new one every 500k. Tires , brake pads and oil changes only since hwy miles low stress on car.
